opportunity as a Patient Scheduling Specialist? In this role, our
Scheduling Specialists play a pivotal role in handling inquiries
from callers with precision and efficiency. You'll be responsible
for accurately documenting inquiries from patients and providers,
facilitating the screening process, scheduling appointments, and
guiding patients to the appropriate providers, services, or level
of care. Your role also involves equipping patients with essential
information to make the most of Carle's services, and you'll serve
as a vital link in communication between yourself, providers, and
patients to ensure that patient's needs are met. Once you've proven
your capabilities onsite (for a minimum of 6 months), you'll have
the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home. We

special.Qualifications:EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma
or equivalentCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSCompletion of a
Medical Terminology course within one (1) year of hire
date.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSPrevious public contact position using
interpersonal skills.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSCompletion of a Medical
Terminology course.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEMust be able to apply
specific departmental policies rules and regulations relating to
verifying patient information, collecting payments and maintaining
records and forms. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize
work, provide oral and written instructions, interact tactfully
with customers and establish and maintain effective relationships
with others. Must have strong verbal and written communication
skills as well as basic PC and data entry skills.Essential
Functions:Assumes responsibility for answering, scheduling,
documentation and follow-up on all inquiries from patients and
providers generated by telephone, internet based, or
written/electronic correspondence.Educates patients and providers
regarding a variety of patient care issues, including, but not
limited to insurance, provider, department/location, payment
options and availability of Carle services.Obtains, updates and
verifies patient demographics, insurance and co-pays and Primary
Physicians.Answers telephone, takes and delivers messages to
physicians, nurses and others. Reports medical information obtained
from patients and referring physicians accurately, completely and
in a timely manner. Distributes all messages according to practice
