Job DescriptionTeam Marine is growing! We are searching for a Mortgage Loan Officer in our Champaign market.Responsibilities:

• Explain a variety of mortgage products and services available and offer recommendations based on evaluation of individual customer needs
• Guide customers through the mortgage application process; explain information required and other aspects of the loan process to customers
• Outline loan terms and conditions, and inform the customers of loan commitments
• Ensure applications are completed accurately and contain required information and supporting documentation
• Collect and analyze data from customers such as tax returns, bank statements, paystubs, W2's, K1's, credit reports, etc.
• Attract potential referral sources for borrowers by cultivating relationships with real estate agents, financial planners, accountants, etc.
• Sell and originate residential mortgage loans according to established policies and procedures and applicable legal and regulatory guidelines
• Identify and successfully capitalize on cross-sell opportunities and make appropriate referralsQualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge of various type of mortgage loans (FHA, VA, Conventional, etc.) in a banking or mortgage environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Must have an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry)
  • Two+ years of mortgage lending experience

    • Advanced knowledge of mortgage industry, lending practices and regulatory guidelines
    • Thorough knowledge of bank products and services
    • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
    • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated understanding of basic financial accounting and analysis
