Carle Health, a prominent leader in community-based healthcare, is seeking a dedicated Sr Payroll Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to integrate advanced medical treatment with innovative research to improve patient health outcomes. As a Sr Payroll Accountant, you will manage payroll operations, ensuring accuracy in payments and compliance with federal and state regulations. Your expertise will contribute to the financial stability of Carle Health, allowing us to continue providing exceptional care to our community. Manage and process multi-state payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Handle payroll tax compliance, including filings, amendments, and year-end processing. Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to align payroll processes with changes in benefits, compensations, and regulatory requirements. Prepare reports and conduct audits related to payroll transactions and processes. Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries. Implement continuous improvements in payroll systems and procedures. Proficiency in major payroll software systems, such as ADP or Paychex Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage confidential data with integrity Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred
