Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic

MYR Group has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic in Decatur! MYR Group, an industry leader for more than 130 years, delivers impactful, large-scale electrical construction services throughout the United States and Canada.

OVER A CENTURY OF CONNECTING POWER TO PEOPLE

The position consists of servicing and repairing MYR equipment and providing support to the construction crews. This position is in the field, and travel and overtime are required. Typical pay ranges from $30- $40 per hour + overtime pay.

• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on electrical construction and transportation equipment.
  • Bucket trucks, Boom trucks, Construction equipment
  • Digger derricks, Overhead pullers and tension machines
  • Aerial lifts, Large mobile cranes
  • Class 1 to 8 vehicles
    Qualifications
    
    
    • 3+ years experience on class 1 to class 8 chassis service and repairs
    • 3+ years experience in hydraulic systems
    • 3+ experience on dirt equipment (backhoes, dozers, etc)
    • Valid CDL B license (or higher) or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire
