The Maintenance Reliability Engineer reports to the Maintenance
Manager and is responsible for providing ongoing technical support
for the identification of opportunities to improve equipment,
assembly and component performance to world-class standards.
Specific Responsibilities of the Job
- Support and guide the troubleshooting and repairing of complex
equipment including automated machines, robotics, controls, panels,
relays, circuit breakers, communication systems, and drives
- Develop A3 root cause analysis reports for excessive downtime
using MTBF and MTBR metrics and determine where component failures
need to be addressed
- Develop Predictive Maintenance program such as vibration
analyses, oil sampling, and infrared imaging
- Utilize operating manuals and internet sources to determine
appropriate PM activity on equipment
- Provide assistance during major repair
- Contractor Management; guide, assist, and check work
- Assist in managing non-stocked capital critical spare parts
Your profile
Education/Credentials/Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
Or
- Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance / Mechatronics,
Electronics, Electricity or related field required with 5-7 years
of maintenance engineering experience in a manufacturing
environment Length of Experience
Prior maintenance or controls engineering experience in a Forging
setting preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Working knowledge of programmable controllers and industrial
robotics including Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC's and NC's, Fanuc
PLC's and NC's, and ABB Robotics
- Knowledgeable of electronics, mechanics, and fluid power
- Ability to interpret and work from blueprints, drawings,
sketches or schematics
- General understanding of how a machine functions and
operates
- Strong knowledge of predictive maintenance programs
- Manual skills to operate tools and equipment when
necessary
- Basic understanding of trigonometry
