Job Description:

ARA is seeking an experienced program manager to work full-time for our Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) Sector. The senior program manager will oversee significant government research programs (> $12M) involving large teams that include ARA employees and subcontractors located throughout the U.S.

The T&I Sector is headquartered in Champaign, IL with offices throughout the U.S., including Madison, WI and Elkridge, MD. Remote/work-from-home may also be considered for the right candidate.

What you will do as a senior program manager:

* Lead project execution. Work with your project team and other team managers to execute project work, including subcontractors from industry, academia, and government.
* Work with technical staff to complete work in a professional manner with attention to accurate and complete reporting.
* Ensure on-schedule project delivery, on budget, and interface with others to resolve any challenges.
* Serve as a subject matter expert in engineering or construction of civil engineering infrastructure (e.g., roads, bridges, drainage systems).
* Participate in writing proposals in response to RFPs/RFQs and other solicitations. Must be able to effectively lead the proposal team in meeting all requirements.
* Perform business development tasks to grow your professional network, provide technical presentations at conferences/local area meetings and for potential clients, etc.

Senior program manager requirements:

* MS or higher in an engineering discipline (general, civil, mechanical, industrial, or related) from an accredited U.S. institution.
* 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing large ($1M+) projects/programs.
* Experience in civil infrastructure construction, materials, and design.
* Available for periodic travel, anticipated to average 2 to 3 days per month.
* U.S. citizenship highly desirable; ARA would need to obtain government approval for a non-citizen to fill this role.
* Experience with additive manufacturing, additive construction, and/or 3D printing desired.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license desirable.
