Position Summary:




The Patient Care Manager - Overhead Cutis Road oversees the daily operations of a multidisciplinary team in three (3) or more assigned clinical departments to provide quality, cost?effective care.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Related Field

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner or Licesned Perfusionist or Licensed Paramedic (LP) or Registered Nurse (RN) Illinois and Basic Life Support (BLS) and National Nursing Certification. National Nursing Certification must be obtained within four (4) years of start date in position if a Registered Nurse. Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) years Healthcare. Proven strong leadership and communication skill set with strong systems assessment and problem solving skills. Ability to interpret and assimilate clinical/business information from varied sources in order to communicate with providers, nursing, and administrators as well as evaluate if metrics are achieved. Experience in designing, implementing and evaluation of educational & quality programs. Ability to lead physicians, administrators, and staff.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Leads multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic, clinical, programmatic and quality outcomes. Strong presentation skills with various audiences; physicians/providers, hospital administrators, nurses, community members, interdepartmental leaders, etc. Strong clinical background and critical thinking skills. Ability to problem solve in a team environment and lead change. Demonstrates independence, responsibility, accountability and good judgment. Demonstration of Division Core Principles: Partnership, Access, Service Expertise and Value.










Essential Functions:

• Manages operations of department and ensures standards of quality and service are provided in accordance with organizational goals and priorities.
• Resolves work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issues.
• Determines fiscal requirements and prepares an annual budget for the department(s). Monitors, verifies and reconciles expenditures and revenues. Prepares financial performas as needed.
• Initiates personnel actions for hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures. Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
  • Leads day-to-day operations and upholds clinical practice standards of the department(s)
  • Responsible for continuous quality improvement, patient satisfaction, budgeting, customer and staff feedback, training and development.
  • Completes performance reviews and utilizes performance improvement procedures as appropriate
  • Implements clinical practice protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for optimal operations
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and manages personnel in conjunction with Human Resources.
