Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Sustainability and Energy Manager is responsible for supporting
Carle Health's environmental stewardship including the development
of programs, plans and policies that meet the health system's
sustainability commitments and directs their implementation. This
multifaceted role helps position Carle Health as a leader in
environmental sustainability with the goal of upholding national
environmental standards and best practices. The Sustainability and
Energy Manager, while reporting to the VP of Facilities &
Construction will lead initiatives throughout the entire health
system.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
US Green Building Council LEED Green Associate Certification upon
hire and Certified Energy Manager within 1 year.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3 years of sustainability experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
* Has extensive knowledge of local, regional, and national emerging
sustainable business strategies, life cycle assessments (LCA), ROI
analysis, and other key sustainability tools and techniques* Has
organizational skills, time management skills, self-motivation,
project management experience, and priority setting skills* Has
experience in change management and continuous quality improvement*
Has strong project management skills* Manage energy benchmarking
and assessment and analyze energy consumption metrics in comparison
to Practice Greenhealth top performers * Outstanding communication
and interpersonal skills* Excellent presentation, verbal, and
written skills * Has working knowledge of building automation and
control systems
