Located on the campus of the University of Illinois, McKinley Health Center provides high quality ambulatory healthcare and health education to students. Through our clinics, resources and staff, we pride ourselves on providing superior services-specializing in internal medicine, family practice, women's health, and mental health services.
McKinley Health Center currently has an opportunity for a Health Educator - Dietician to join our Health Education Unit on the Champaign-Urbana campus. The Health Education Unit plays an integral role in meeting the University's commitment to health promotion. As part of the student health center, the Unit provides a wide variety of health education programs and services to UIUC students. It consists of health educators in the areas of fitness, nutrition, sexuality, cross-cultural health and stress management, under the direction of the Director of Health Education. The individual in this position will perform mostly individual appointments, consult with appropriate MHC staff and occasionally assist with outreach/campus-wide events. They will provide individual and group instruction and advice to students on matters related to nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, eating disorders, and weight management. They will serve as a source for nutritional information and refer students, when appropriate, to campus or community agencies or medical facilities.

Qualifications include a degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Licensed or RD and experience working with diverse populations. Excellent communication and organization skills and the ability to plan and implement campus-wide events are necessary.
