The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant provides advanced level patient care support for the Medication Renewal Center.The ideal candidate will enhance our talented team by offering strong communication skills, ability to critically think, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can make a difference in the lives of our patients.

• Works collaboratively with the Medication Renewal Center nursing and clerical team members.
• Completes medication refill encounters based on established protocols.
  • Communicates with pharmacies regarding discrepancies and/or clarification for medications.
  • Communicates with patients regarding required services (labs and/or office visits) to facilitate medication refill processes.
  • Performs review of pending medication refill encounters that do not meet protocol and send to prescribing provider team.
  • Disseminate education to patient as written by provider.
  • Assist with onboarding of new team members to the department.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as outlined within onboarding and orientation.
