Job Description & Requirements Specialty: OR - Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/01/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel \n Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Surgicenter position requiring Illinois RN licensure and Epic charting skills. \n \n Responsibilities\n Position is in an ambulatory surgery center (Surgicenter) operating room setting Serves a varied surgical patient population, including cases requiring Level 1 Trauma experience Monday through Friday day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM No local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted Uses the Epic EMR system, and experience with Epic is required Responsible for complete patient assessment and documentation in Epic Participates in preoperative safety checks and time out procedures Must establish IVs on patients over 8 years old and follow medication safety protocols Patient care plans must be developed and modified according to ongoing assessment Travelers may not stay on assignment at the same facility for more than one year Requested time off not to exceed 7 days during a 13 week contract No travel partners are accepted for this assignment \n \n Requirements\n Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary licenses accepted Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association Minimum of one year of relevant operating room nursing experience is required Recent Level 1 Trauma experience is required Associate’s degree in nursing (ASN) required \n Benefits\n High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts \n American Traveler Job ID P-631259.
