Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Bloomington,
Illinois, 61701! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN
(Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active state license or
confirmation of application process initiation Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Skilled in labor and delivery. Prefer
experience in all LDRP and nursery areas. Description: Unit
includes 12 labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) rooms
with 2 triage rooms. Approximately 700 deliveries occur annually.
The nurse-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 during
labor and 1:3 for postpartum couplets. Charge RN is available each
shift without a patient assignment. OB techs and unit secretaries
are present on the unit. There is a neonatology provider on-site
24/7. Registered nurses are required to troubleshoot CPAP for the
level II nursery with respiratory therapist assistance. The
electronic fetal monitoring system used is the Obix system with
Philips monitors. Shift hours are from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00
PM to 7:30 AM. Staff must work every other weekend and every other
holiday. Traveling nurses may be required to float hospital-wide as
needed. Scrubs are provided by the hospital. Unit-specific
orientation will be conducted over 2-3 shifts depending on the
