RN - Eye at Carle Health summary: This hybrid role is for a
Registered Nurse specializing in eye care, providing
patient-centered healthcare and supporting ophthalmologists in a
collaborative team environment. Responsibilities include patient
assessment, minor procedures, medication administration, patient
education, and acting as a preceptor for staff development. The
position requires current RN licensure, ACLS, and BLS
certifications, offering professional growth in a reputable

group of 6 highly motivated and supportive RNs. Our RNs support 7
Ophthalmologists and work closely with a diverse mix of skillsets
throughout the Eye department. On this team, you are guaranteed to

are committed to providing world-class Eye care. The Ambulatory
Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating
assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice
of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and
communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the

Qualifications Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart
Association (AHA); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days -
American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA);
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department
of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Illinois Department
of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), Education: H.S.
Diploma/GED, Work Experience: Responsibilities Provides and
facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area
of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and
scope of practice.Ensures documentation of care is complete and
accurate.Provides health and wellness education to individuals and
groups.Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other
staff and healthcare students.Provides leadership for initiatives
designed to improve the quality of care or clinical
outcomes.Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development
of departmental standing orders.Assists with minor procedures and
lasers Begins IVs and administers dyes/drugs for diagnostic tests
and procedures Triage patient and physician phone calls
appropriately Provides patient education Provides medication

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position
is $30.39per hour - $52.27per hour. This represents a good faith
minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by
Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be
dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to,
the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training,
licenses, shifts worked and compensation model. Carle Health offers
