Title: Operating Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty:
Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12
hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License:
Must have an active state license in hand or be in application
process Certifications: BLS required; CNOR and CST preferred
Must-Have: - General OR and Trauma experience required - Level I
trauma experience required - Required case experience in Bariatric,
General Surgery, Neurology, Orthopedic, Plastic Surgery,
Transplant, Urology, and Trauma - Required skills in emergency
management and professional knowledge Description: This position
requires experience in the operating room. Shifts are scheduled
three days a week, including weekends. Candidates must have a
minimum of three years of experience in the operating room.
First-time travelers are not accepted for this role. A background
in various surgical procedures is essential. Candidates will work
with all service lines excluding cardiovascular procedures.
Experience with Cerner charting is preferred. Candidates must be
able to respond to codes and manage emergency situations. They
should have knowledge of infection control, radiation safety, and
specimen handling. The nurse will need to work closely with
interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory
services. Floating among service areas may occur, but it is rare.
All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by management.
Candidates must comply with RTO restrictions. This role requires a
commitment to the full assignment and adherence to behavior
