Registered Nurse (RN) | Neuro ICU Location: Peoria, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,434 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Peoria, Illinois, 61637! Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with ventriculostomy, NIH Stroke Scale Certification, ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, tPA, and acute stroke management. - Ability to titrate drips as ordered by the physician. - Skilled in reading and interpreting telemetry strips. - Familiarity with common diagnoses such as strokes with/without TPA and post-craniectomy care. - Ability to troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment. Description: This position is within a Neuro ICU. The unit has 18 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. The role involves managing patients with critical neurological conditions. Nurses are required to administer titratable and/or set rate drips as per the physician’s orders. There is a charge nurse and a house supervisor available on each shift. Nursing aides or patient care techs support the unit with a ratio of 1 aide for every 9 patients. Registered nurses are required to read their own telemetry strips using Phillips monitors. The unit requires nurses to float to other areas of the hospital as needed, including intermediate and general floors. Weekend and holiday shifts are part of the schedule.
