Surgical Tech Location: Springfield, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,146 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: OR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours (14:45 - 23:15) Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: Not required for this role Certifications: BLS required, CST preferred Must-Have: - Experience in General OR, Teaching Hospital, Trauma. - Skills in ENT procedures, Endoscopic procedures, General Surgery, Gynecology cases, Neurosurgery, Oral cases, Orthopedic cases, Plastic Surgery, Trauma, Urology, and Emergency management. - Experience with various equipment and professional knowledge regarding safety and protocol procedures. Description: Position is for an OR Tech. The average daily census is 50-60 cases. Weekend commitment is required, one weekend per month with a total of 16 hours of obligation. On-call is required as needed for the department. Clinicians will float within their scope of practice as needed to meet facility demands. Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager. First-timers are not accepted. All time off must be discussed and approved by the management. Candidates must meet fingerprinting requirements three business days prior to compliance. Must have experience with procedures including Direct Laryngoscopy, Radical neck dissection, Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, Tracheostomy, Colonoscopy, EGD, and Peg tube placement/exchange. Experience required in various surgical procedures such as Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Hernia repair, and more. Familiarity with trauma cases including amputations and multiple injuries is required. The role includes a variety of case skills and experience across specialties like orthopedics, gynecology, and neurosurgery. Must possess knowledge in aseptic techniques, isolation precautions, and universal protocol. Candidates should have trauma level I experience. This position involves working with advanced surgical technology and requires adaptability in a dynamic surgical environment.
