Overview
OSF HealthCare partnered with Great Plains Orthopaedics in 2016,
expanding orthopedic services and delivering advanced
musculoskeletal care across Central Illinois. Together, we form a
premier multi-specialty group with 14 fellowship-trained
surgeons.
JOB SPECIFICS:
- Excellent opportunity for a fellowship-trained, BC/BE
Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join a well-established, team of
specialists to serve an increasing patient base in Peoria,
Illinois.
- This position is employed by Great Plains Orthopedics with a
strong affiliation with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, the
area's only Level 1 Trauma Center, the highest level designated in
trauma care.
- Shared Call, 1:4
- The orthopedic team includes 1 sports medicine physician, 12
orthopedic surgeons, 11 physician assistants and professional
clinical staff who treat a full range of orthopedic conditions. We
also offer diagnostic services, ambulatory surgery,
physical/occupational therapy, and a sports medicine program.

Academy
- Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position:
$695,000-$752,000
- Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted
by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of
the position, overall experience and qualifications, community
need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components
may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may
not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Doctorate Licenses/Certifications: Physician
Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
- Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate
specialty(ies).
- Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate
privileges.
- Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and
other federal health programs. Physician shall meet all
qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional
malpractice and other liability coverage.
- Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the
State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide
patient care aligned to the preferences, goals, and needs of the
patients served
