HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALISTThe Bromley Companies - Champaign, IllinoisThe Bromley Companies is seeking a HR Generalist at our offices located in Champaign IL. This is a full-time position with full benefits: health, dental and vacation/sick time and 401K with a generous company match.We are a fast-growing, entrepreneurial real estate development/property management company that manages a diverse portfolio with locations in multiple states including Illinois, Florida, Kansas and New York. We are looking for an HR professional that is seeking an opportunity to build and grow with our dynamic real estate organization. Our ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, high energy professional with 3+ years in a Human Resources generalist or coordination role that will help support and grow our team. This individual will be a member of the Management Team and a trusted advisor to our Senior Vice President and Management Staff and should have a broad depth of HR experience. This individual will report directly to the Senior Vice President of the organization, will interact regularly with the Managers, Directors and Executive Staff and will be responsible for the Human Resources functions while supporting the strategy and continued growth of the organization.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Instill a winning culture across the entire team that empowers staff and promotes open communication, positive morale and team spirit. Provide leadership of all HR related activities to include:-- Oversight of the complete Fidelity payroll process and payroll reporting-- Serve as a point of contact for all payroll/benefits inquiries and complaints, ensuring prompt, courteous and appropriate resolution-- Ensure timely processing of all year-end documents including but not limited to W-2's, 1099's, etc.-- Manage full employee life cycle to include recruitment, interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, performance management process, employee relations, retention, employee recognition, training and development, succession planning, legal compliance, employee benefits, salary administration, Fidelity payroll, terminations and health insurance administration.-- Will be responsible for Annual OHSA reporting and compliance, worker's comp injuries, unemployment protest and hearings, distribution of pay cards-- Handle reconciliation of monthly benefits statements to include medical invoices and other HR expenses-- Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all duties related to all local, state and federal government reporting requirements to include the Department of Labor, IRS, Workers' Compensation, EEOC reporting and other governmental agency requirements.-- Handle 401K notices to staff and serve on the 401K Committee-- Manage group benefits enrollment and administration including health, dental and life insurance, 401K program, PTO and COBRA administration and compliance to include working with brokers and vendors to solicit quotes, evaluate quotes, manage contracts and make appropriate recommendations to management-- Work in conjunction with our NY office on annual business insurance renewal with brokers-- Process background checks and all Department of Justice clearances, ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal laws, licenses and accreditations-- Create and maintain accurate job descriptionsMaintain employee personnel files-- Maintain and update Employee Handbook and Benefits Manual-- Create and place recruiting ads to hire additional staff as recommended by SVP-- Perform other related duties as assigned by management-- Work with our Senior Vice President, Senior Accounting Manager and Controller as needed for accounting inquiries relating to Human ResourcesKNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES:Clear understanding of and related experience including, but not limited to:Demonstrated management and supervisory skillsStrong ability to work effectively with co-workersLead staff and work in a professional and courteous mannerStrong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent organization and time management skillsStrong Leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor staffAbility to set priorities and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with optimal resultsDemonstrate a high level of initiativeExcellent interpersonal skillsExperienced in recruiting and acquiring diverse talentCompetent in HR practices in multiple statesProficient in compensation and benefit administration, people and labor relations, change managementFamiliarity with Applicant Tracking SystemsCapable of managing employee performanceAble to deliver training and development presentationsPossesses technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills and G SuiteAdept at negotiating with vendorsSkillful in maintaining a high level of confidentiality with sensitive informationDesire to work in an inclusive team environment, fostering positive morale and corporate cultureExpertise in aligning HR Strategy with overall business goalsREQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business-related Degree with strong HR background3+ years of experience in an HR leadership/generalist positionPREFERRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of Fidelity Payroll SystemExperience working in College Housing/Food Service industry a plusSHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR Designation a plusFamiliarity with a mostly hourly (non-exempt) workforce is beneficialWHY CHOOSE US?You will be joining a vibrant, entrepreneurial company that values its team membersWe know professionals never stop learning, so we provide professional development opportunities, and support our staff being active in professional organizations and conferencesWe offer a medical plan of which the company contributes up to 80% of the premiumThere's also a 401K plan with a generous company match of 50% up to 6% of your contributionPlenty of paid time off to help you refresh your mind and for those days you are sickBusiness casual office attireAPPLICATION PROCESS:Please submit cover letter and resume and three potential references by--Wednesday, February 19, 2020.
