  • -people who push the boundaries of what's possible The summer internship program begins with orientation in early June and concludes in early-August. All internships are paid opportunities. This role has potential for conversion into a full-time position for those that successfully complete the internship and upon candidate's graduation. User Experience and Interaction Design The Product Designer intern supports the tactical design work associated with assigned projects. Under the direction of more senior level associates on the team, this role works with Designers, Engineers, and Content Developers to deliver assigned components of larger design projects in a timely and efficient manner. Some of the key responsibilities include: Participates in the process of architecting and designing high---quality and engaged experiences for Lowe's customers and associates, with direction from more senior level designers. Utilizes best practices to build user flows, wireframes, and design comps and low---fidelity prototypes to ensure our products deliver optimal experience. Utilizes variety of architecture, UI design and graphic design skills to best meet the varying needs of business. General knowledge or Proficiency with sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and/or other design tools. The Lowe---s Technology Team is on a mission to be the leader in home improvement and retail technology.     • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communications, Art, Human Interaction or related field with an expected graduation date of December 2021 or May 2022
    • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA is required
    • Proficient in MSOffice Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and Access)
    • Basic understanding of design system theory and execution
    • Strong collaborative, innovative, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills are required
    • Relevant internship and experience with sketch and/or other design tools is a plus, as is experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
