Overview

Title: PTA/ATC Industrial Athletic Trainer - Injury Prevention Specialist

Location: Champaign, IL

Hours: Mon- Fri 10pm-6:30 am

ATI Worksite Solutions (AWS) is a progressive provider of prevention focused-early intervention services, ergonomic and safety solutions and occupational medicine. We specialize in partnering with employers who wish to take a proactive, preventative approach to addressing their employees' SShealth. The Certified Early Intervention Specialist (CEIS) is an embedded allied health professional with a background in Athletic Training (or similar field) who is responsible for proactively identifying ergonomic, behavioral and biomechanical risks for potential injury. These findings are then translated into effective corrective actions through job coaching, ergonomic solutions, resiliency training, mobility education, and first aid measures (as defined by OSHA). As an allied health provider in industry for AWS, you will participate a 3-day certification course on Early Intervention to prepare you to be impactful and compliant in this environment.

The CEIS assists clients in reducing cumulative, overuse musculoskeletal injuries and illness by implementing conservative care to their employees before the onset of injury. With a focus on employee ownership and risk mitigation, employees achieve and maintain physical resilience and total worker health -. In addition, the CEIS assists workers in achieving sustained lifestyle improvements in areas such as nutritional health, physical fitness, and stress management.

As an integral part of the AWS team, the CEIS will be asked to take ownership of his/her responsibilities while looking for ways to improve the services we deliver to our clients. Responsibilities

  • Apply their knowledge around clinical care and apply this to the industrial environment
  • Through observation of employee work performance, assess body mechanics, determine risk and create a plan for mitigation
  • Perform and document all employee treatments within the workplace efficiently and completely with a strong ability to integrate feedback for continuous improvement. Understand OSHA recordkeeping rules as they pertain to first aid (29 CFR 1904.7)
  • Proactively address postural discomfort through education and job-specific coaching with the goal of eliminating postural contributions to the injury
  • Assist with medical surveillance testing and clinic operations
  • Assist to identify, develop, and provide employee health education and training on wellness and disease prevention topics to optimize health of population
  • Work within the jurisdictional guidelines for clinical care
  • Take outcome data and convert to client specific reports
    Required Education

    Qualifications
    • Associates Degrees in an Allied Health program
      Required License And Certifications
      • Certified/licensed AT or PTA
      • CPR
        Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
        • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
        • Able to work in a busy environment and provide high quality care
        • Ability to develop meaningful professional relationships with clients for successful communication
        • Ability to execute on performance goals
        • Ability to work with AWS site personnel and client personnel
        • A solid team player who also demonstrates maturity, drive, intellectual curiosity and organizational capabilities
        • Deadline-driven
        • Strong verbal and organizational skills
        • Ability to multi-task
