Under general direction, the IT System Administator - Core works as
a member of a team that provides technical support concerning
physical and virtual servers, as well as storage and backup based
technology solutions. Works independently on selected tasks and
projects as assigned. Ensures platform stability, availability, and
reliability of the systems implemented into the test, development,
and production environments. Specific deliverablies include daily
ticket/work request handling, and alert monitoring and resolution.
Responsible for physical server racking, wiring, building, and
documenting. Responsible for maintaining print servers and
Associates Related Field or Five (5) years experience administering
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) years of experience in Computers/Information Technology.
A comprehensive understanding of current versions of Microsoft
Windows Server is a must. Also, experience with monitoring and
maintainence methods across physical and virtual environments is
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical
staff at all levels of the organization. Ability to work on
projects both independently and in a team environment. Ability to
troubleshoot issues within all aspects of Information Technology.
Ability to deal with a rapid, fast-paced, and changing environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Required skills
including, sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating, and
decision making skills. Ability to manage and deliver multiple
project phases at the same time, and able to manage ongoing
operational issues with longer term strategic work.
- Maintains the integrity, availibility, and uptime of Systems
both virtual and physical, to ensure Carle can provide continuous

- Interfaces with customers, many of whom are a part of a very
complex, integrated network that spans the Carle enterprise as well
as external customers.
