The Telecommunications Supervisor oversees daily operations of AMSEC, including employees, and makes decisions of ambulance deployment and utilizations. Will also have leadership of Hospital Discharge (HDS) vans and employees of that cost center.Facilitates appropriate deployment of resources.Assist during peak volumes for call taking and dispatching.Develops new policies and procedures for the dispatch center.Completes personnel actions for hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures.Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.Handles shift scheduling for TCsHandles shift scheduling for HDSAdjust schedule as needed for large EMS events to ensure TC coverage or onsite Command Post coverageCollaborates with Discharge Planners and Carle Direct to ensure timely hospital throughputCollects and provides reporting on data for all ambulance and medivan trips and transportsDevelops and provides training to pre-hospital staff on use on all computer applications.Monitors enroute and response times.Monitors staff and vehicle movement or posting.Unified Command Post Representative in any large scale events, scheduled or emergent.
