We have a welding opportunity for a great company in the Champaign/Urbana area!Job Summary:* Perform various TIG/MIG/Stick Welds on steel and aluminum to assemble athletic facility equipment. * Follow all safety procedures to protect self and others* Accept work orders, review prints, and determine work that needs to be done - Perform welds per prints* Set up welds to include choosing correct jig and setting gas pressure, wire speed and amperage* Occasionally weld around pipe up to 8 inches* Other marginal duties as assignedQualifications: * Minimum 18 years of age * Proficiency in Mig, Tig and Stick welding * Ability to read blueprints including understanding tolerance* Ability to perform continuous weld up to 24 inches (Preferred) * Ability to take direction in written and oral English* Ability to pass a drug screening and work in a drug-free environment* Ability to lift up to 70 lbs alone and over 70 lbs with assistanceLong term Temp to hire opportunity - Welding jobs are available with a local and expanding company.
