Quality Assurance Specialist

Reports To: Vice President - Product Support
Examines products and services to ensure quality output. Works with
Programming staff to test and perform quality assurance functions
that are developed. Serves as the single point of contact for
customers and departments within CDG to coordinate the
documentation, notification, and installation of software releases.
Provides timely and accurate changes to rate structure in the
application that is used to produce accurate customer statements
and reports. Works to establish and maintain an organizational
standard of excellence, cooperation, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Perform Quality Assurance Testing for enhancements and system
Creates the documentation and videos of software enhancements and
Installation of software releases with customers, Product Support,
Programming, and other departments within CDG.
Verifies acceptance and implementation of software releases by
Updates and maintains rate structure; documents and tracks requests
for creation or changes to the rate structure from customers.
Determines if requested rate changes require programming or entry
only; communicate time and cost charges to customer.
Responsible for entry and verification of rates in a test scenario;
obtaining customer approval of test bills and reports.
Responsible for coordination and implementation of rate changes
with CDG departments and customers.
Investigates and resolves service bureau and licensee rating
Interacts internally with Product Support Representatives,
Programmers, and other departments to insure the accuracy of the
first live bill.
Periodically train and update customers in billing and billing
Responsible for movement of software from the test environment to
the production environment.
Displays conduct throughout performance of duties, which promotes
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure effective
operation of department specifically and CDG as a whole.
Qualifications and Skills
Associate degree in business, accounting, or a computer science
related curriculum or equivalent experience. Bachelor degree
Minimum 2 years' experience with UNIX, AS400, Linux, Microsoft
Word, Microsoft Excel, PDF, database, and accounting related
applications with basic knowledge of state-of-the-art technology in
hardware and software applications.
Must be a team player with the ability to work with minimal
Must be willing to work extra hours, weekends, and on-call
situations if needed.
Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver's license with a
good driving record to drive rental vehicles if necessary.
Must be a self-motivated, people oriented individual with highly
developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, who
is comfortable making presentations to large or small groups and
with extemporaneous speaking when necessary.
Understanding of CDG products and services and knowledge of
wireline and wireless industries would be beneficial.
Must be able to project and maintain an image of integrity,
dependability, and professionalism in all business relationships,
both internal and external.
Experience in area of customer service preferred.
