$5,000.00 Sign on bonus - External Applicants onlyTo perform
routine and advanced radiographic procedures on designated portions
of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating
patient illness and/ or injury to ensure patient safety and quality
care.Positions patient, adjusts equipment, secures and immobilizes
support devices as needed to tactfully perform
procedures.Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on
anatomy and patients condition to obtain quality films for the
radiologists.Secures history from patient regarding reason for
prescribed test.Maintains compliance with established safety
standards to protect patients and staff at all time (i.e.,
appropriate patient shielding, etc.)Maintains exposure
badge.Maintains supplies and cleanliness for assigned room on a
daily basis.Administers CPR as necessary.Assures accuracy of
examination performed and requisition.Familiar with MSDS
information pertaining to chemicals used in the department.Performs
clerical duties such as maintaining adequate patient records, daily
statistics, answering telephones, scheduling examinations and
giving instructions to patients for examination to provide smooth
and continuous department services.Inventories supplies and
maintains adequate stock.Labels radiology images according to
department standards and criteria.Prepares contrast media as
necessary following department standards and manufacturers
recommendations.Performs daily sensitometry of processors; assists
in performance of annual inspections.Checks film quality and
ensures proper and correct labeling is provided.Performs quality
control activities, responds to inquires, coordinates patient flow
and communicates with provider to ensure exams are completed in a
timely fashion.Prepares radiology rooms daily.Coordinates the flow
of patients into and out of the department in accordance with
established departmental/center proceduresPerforms orders
management tracking functions.
