Ideal candidate has production leadership experience in a supervisory level role. Knowledge of filling line production equipment a plus. The Production Supervisor will work directly with our production team to drive the operational excellence necessary to ensure world-class production processes. This individual MUST possess strong communication skills and abilities and be outgoing, high energy, systems experienced, savvy, and technically talented in problem solving.The Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, operation, and control of shift production processes. This position will interface with all associate levels and various functions/departments throughout the organization. This position is based at the Rantoul, IL manufacturing facility.Essential Job Functions And ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct the activities of shift production operations at the Rantoul facility to package defect-free products in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Work collaboratively with leadership team and colleagues to Evaluate and Improve processes, culture and systems to maximize operational capabilities & efficiencies.* Instill a safety discipline and a progressive attitude towards reducing workplace accidents as well as timely response, investigation and reporting of workplace accidents.* Effectively manage multiple priorities and resources including personnel, material, and equipment to support changing production needs and consistently meet deadlines with expected results.* Provide direct supervision for production employees with focus on Safety, Quality and Efficiency.* Establish realistic work expectations, behavior and performance standards and a personal development plan for each employee, then coach to those requirements.* Lead by example, follow all company policies, procedures and GMP's, and assure adherence through training and communication.* Work closely with compounding, maintenance, and quality department personnel to maintain an efficient flow of materials and meet daily production and quality goals.* Provide a "Customer Service" attitude that has a high focus on sense of urgency.* Facilitate teamwork to troubleshoot and resolve production problems and maximize efficiency.* Inform management of developments as they occur, effectively communicate between shifts, and complete written reports.* Set-up lines, "Purge" lines in, and stage with correct components for production start-up.* Document work processes and standard operating procedures. * Audit production documents for proper completion and provide corrective action.* Assure compliance with all federal, state and local requirements including FDA, OSHA and EPA.Skills, Abilities, and Education:* Degree in related field and/or equivalent supervisory work experience in manufacturing.* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures in a packaging operation a plus.* Possess good communication, coaching, planning, training and team building skills. * Possess high level interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, motivate employees and elicit work output.* Possess time management and organizational skills; Ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.* Knowledge of applicable FDA and GMP regulations and SOP's.* Experience teaching, coaching, negotiating, influencing, and problem-solving.* Track record of effective management and development of employees.* Demonstrated skills in achieving results and managing others to achieve objectives.* Continuous Improvement methods highly desirable - certified lean and/or certified 6-sigma.* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Netsuite, and Manhattan.* Excellent interpersonal, computer and communications skills (both verbal and written).InterpersonalCommunicate well and clearly with professionalism, taking the time to understand processes.Thank you for your interest in a career with Beauty Quest Group!
