Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Property Maintenance Technician I to assist with maintenance activities for a 96-unit residential complex, Townway Place, located in Danville, IL. The overall objectives for this role will be to ensure all assigned maintenance and service activities are being addressed in an organized, high-quality, and efficient manner while providing top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate will have superior attention to detail and the ability to directly handle a wide range of activities. The ideal candidate will also embody Fairlawn's core values: Be Kind, Own It, Be Flexible, and Always Improve.What will you do? - Exemplify the core values of Be Kind, Be Flexible, Own It and Always Improve - Directly handle a wide range of maintenance repairs including plumbing, appliances, electrical, roofing inspection/minor roof damage; recommend outsourcing tasks to external vendors as necessary - Assist with residence turnover including direct participation in turning units, obtaining bids from subcontractors, and small renovation projects - Maintain a high standard of organization of maintenance inventory space - Maintain good rapport with current and prospective residents - Follow company policies with regard to gaining necessary approvals for any large maintenance tasks/expenditures - Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner and document time, expense and results - Perform grounds work including ensuring grounds are clean and free of any trash, common area trash cans are regularly emptied and the common areas of the buildings including interior and exterior hallways, the leasing office, and vacant apartments are kept in clean and orderly condition - Comply with all OSHA regulations and any applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment - Learn and ensure compliance with all Fair Housing Lawns including local, state, and federal housing regulations (We provide training!) - Pivot, roll up your sleeves, and jump in where needed!Requirements:Why should you work here?--- Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance Starting First Day of Employment--- 401(k) Retirement Plan with Match--- Phone Stipend + Vehicle Stipend--- Vacation, Sick Leave, and Holiday Pay--- Employee-sponsored benefits including Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, Critical Illness, Accident, Flexible Spending and H.S.A.
