Description:We are seeking a highly motivated Property
Maintenance Technician I to assist with maintenance activities for
a 96-unit residential complex, Townway Place, located in Danville,
IL. The overall objectives for this role will be to ensure all
assigned maintenance and service activities are being addressed in
an organized, high-quality, and efficient manner while providing
top-notch customer service. The ideal candidate will have superior
attention to detail and the ability to directly handle a wide range
of activities. The ideal candidate will also embody Fairlawn's core

you do? - Exemplify the core values of Be Kind, Be Flexible, Own It
and Always Improve - Directly handle a wide range of maintenance
repairs including plumbing, appliances, electrical, roofing
inspection/minor roof damage; recommend outsourcing tasks to
external vendors as necessary - Assist with residence turnover
including direct participation in turning units, obtaining bids
from subcontractors, and small renovation projects - Maintain a
high standard of organization of maintenance inventory space -
Maintain good rapport with current and prospective residents -
Follow company policies with regard to gaining necessary approvals
for any large maintenance tasks/expenditures - Complete maintenance
requests in a timely manner and document time, expense and results
- Perform grounds work including ensuring grounds are clean and
free of any trash, common area trash cans are regularly emptied and
the common areas of the buildings including interior and exterior
hallways, the leasing office, and vacant apartments are kept in
clean and orderly condition - Comply with all OSHA regulations and
any applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment - Learn
and ensure compliance with all Fair Housing Lawns including local,
state, and federal housing regulations (We provide training!) -

labor or maintenance experience in one of the major trades (HVAC,
Plumbing, Electrical)--- Are proficient with relevant technology

work independently and also to work closely with other team

vehicle.--- Availability to work longer hours and weekends during

year)--- Ability to arrive to the property within 40 minutes for
emergencies when on call--- Must be able to perform the physical
functions of the position, including but not limited to: ability to
walk properties, ability to lift 80-100lbs on a regular
