Summary/ObjectiveThe Inventory Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes within our military gases and or contracts division. Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing and maintaining the accuracy of inventory records and documentation within our ERP system and conducting regular audits of inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.Essential Functions

  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management processes.
  • Oversee and maintain the accuracy of inventory records and documentation within our ERP system.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to monitor inventory levels and ensure materials are available for production.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and other inventory-related issues.
  • Function as Inventory liaison with Finance to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of inventory numbers and resolution of discrepancies or issues.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy of inventory data.
  • Processing of inventory transactions into ERP system, validating paperwork
  • Run reports from various systems and analyze data to make suggestions regarding processes and how to make them more efficient.
  • DLA Inspector Inventory Coordination (GSI Management), including coordinating government inspectors' visits for assessment and testing.
  • Facilitate the receipt of signatures on applicable COAs (required for inventory).
  • Other administrative duties as needed, Including Supply orders (i.e., office/shop supplies) and creation of purchase orders, Indexing of documents into various systems, Customer billing (MOS Services, ODSR, non-DLA sales, etc.)Competencies
    • Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail
    • Proficiency in inventory management software, effective communication, problem-solving, and a solid understanding of supply chain logistics.
    • Inventory Control and Supply Chain and Logistics ExpertiseOversee the daily operation and maintenance of the ERP system.Travel Required. 10% Required education and experience.
      • We are currently seeking a highly skilled Quality Inventory Specialist with a min. of 5 years' experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and a background in manufacturing.
      • Previous experience in inventory management and quality control, with a focus on manufacturing
      • Proficiency in using ERP systems for inventory tracking and control.
        • Associate degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.
          • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
          • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address inventory discrepancies.
          • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various departments.
          • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
            • Analytical thinking skills
            • Customer driven approach.
            • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet commitments and deadlines with high attention to detail.
            • Well-versed in analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
            • Possess strong commitment to business dynamics and processes, including process improvement.
