We're looking for a Sales Development Representative lead all outbound sales effort for our AcreValue product platform operating in the farmland market. This is a unique opportunity to accelerate your career in a fast-paced environment and be a part of a small and nimble sales team. You'll be part of a rapidly growing company full of passionate, committed people who are excited to transform agriculture.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for driving market share by qualifying and selling prospects that build pipeline for the inside sales organization. The AcreValue SDR will be responsible for detailed customer research, developing and qualifying inbound leads, outbound prospecting via cold calling and email. The SDR role will provide the knowledge and skills required for a natural progression into an Account Executive position with closing responsibilities.

What You'll Get To Do:


  • Inbound lead qualification and follow up activity based on marketing events and website inquiries
  • Achieve or exceed goal for qualified meetings on a weekly basis

  • Learn key areas of the market for AcreValue customers including agricultural lenders, farm managers, land investors, land brokers, and other real estate professionals
  • Outbound prospecting via account/contact research and cold calling to generate and uncover opportunities

  • Provide research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts and critical account information prior to prospecting call

  • Produce high level of call and email activity daily
  • Proactively continue company product and competitive product and market knowledge via website, online webinars, and marketing information

  • Manage and log activity in Salesforce.com daily

    Our Ideal Candidate:


    • Recent undergraduate with a degree in Business, Communications, or a related field
    • Interest in agriculture and technology
    • Sales or business development experience preferred
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a high energy, dynamic sales team environment

    • High stamina, with ability to look past short-term roadblocks and stay motivated for long-term win
    • Master time manager - ability to routinely prioritize tasks by their intended impact
    • Well-organized, self-motivated, competitive and driven by success
    • At ease on the phone and able to engage diverse personalities

    • Driven and persistent with daily goals to succeed individually and in a team environment

    • Interested in gaining intimate knowledge of the agriculture industry

    • Creative and thinks outside the box to find and sell existing and new prospects

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and Salesforce.com a plus
